When do tournaments start?
Each tournament is associated to an NFL week (NFL Week 15 for example). Tournaments end after the last NFL game of the week (usually late Monday night). Tournaments open for registration around 12:01am ET on Wednesday of the associated week. This is approximately 24 hours after the last game on Monday ended.
How many entries do I have?
The typical number of entries for our Weekly tournaments is 3 per user. However, if you signed up with a promo/referral code you may have extra entries as a bonus. The number of entries is displayed on each tournaments page.
How much does it cost per entry?
Nothing! SmashUp Sports is completely free to play!
How do I submit my lineup?
You don't need to! The lineups automatically save and are entered into the tournament. There is no Submit or Confirm button - all changes are saved and updated automatically. Lineups do not need to be completely filled to qualify, but they do need to score above 0 points to display on the scoreboard (we'll save you the embarrassment!).
Are the player and card budgets separate?
Yes, in the current tournament format, there are separate player and card budgets. That means you cannot use the card budget on players and vice versa.
When do I see my winnings after a tournament ends?
Usually, all winnings will be added to your winnings balance within a day or two after the tournament ends. However, it can sometimes take up to a week after the conclusion of the tournament to see your winnings added to your account. If you do not see your winnings after a week has passed - please send a message to the SmashUp Sports team.
Where can I see my winnings balance?
If you have placed high enough in any tournament to receive a prize consideration, you will see your winnings balance in your settings. That is also where you can request to withdraw your winnings if they are greater than $20. Otherwise, all winnings will be paid out at the conclusion of the NFL season.
Why can't I withdrawal my winnings at any time?
SmashUp Fantasy Sports is still in our startup phase. Due to processing time and costs, it isn't feasible at this time to do anytime withdrawals. Our current policy is that you may withdraw your winnings whenever you have a winnings balance of $20 or more. You may do that by clicking on the "Withdraw" in your settings page and sending us a message. We will then contact you through your email on file to process and send you the winnings. For all others, we will pay out all winnings at the end of the NFL season no matter the amount. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
How will I receive my winnings?
We will send winnings in 2 formats - through Zelle or as a check through the mail. When you withdraw your winnings, we will need to collect some additional information from you for tax purposes such as legal name, date of birth, state of residence, mailing address, Zelle account if applicable, and others. You agree to provide this information as a condition of receiving your winnings payout as per the Terms of Use.
