Welcome to the SmashUp Fantasy Sports tournament. This article covers the overview of the tournament. If you have additional questions, please contact support by clicking on the icon in the lower right hand corner.

SmashUp Fantasy Sports offers a weekly tournament that users can play. At the current time, there is only 1 tournament per week so all users will play in the same tournament.

Each Smashup tournament is mapped to an NFL week and is named accordingly (for example: NFL Week 15 Tournament). Tournaments are unlocked at 12:01am ET on Wednesday of the week and ends after the last game of the week is played (usually late Monday night for Monday Night Football).

Users can enter a number of lineups based on the number of entries they are allocated. Most users will have 3 entries though you may have more if you signed up with a promo/referral code.

Each entry allows you to select a team of players and a set of SmashCards. Budgets are set at $50,000 for players and $12,000 for SmashCards. There is a separate budget for each. You cannot use the SmashCards budget for players and vice versa. Each entry is set up for 9 players - 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 FLEX (either a RB, WR, or TE), 1 K, and 1 DEF. You do not have to fill out all positions but it is generally recommended as you will be at a disadvantage if you only have 7 or 8 players scoring instead of the full 9.

Users can filter for players based on the position filters and toggle back and forth between cards and players using the Player and Cards tabs. Users can also filter for cards based on which positions they are applicable for using the same position filters. Clicking on the player name or card name brings up more information about the player or the card.

When you add a player, they show up in your lineup. Cards are played on a player so you MUST select a player first and then select the card to attach it to. For example, you cannot select Starting QB if you have not first selected a QB for your team. Cards are indicated on the player tile as a little star powerup. Hovering over the tile allows you to remove cards and remove players as you wish.

Lineup entries are AUTOSAVING!

This means that you do not need to click "Submit" or "Confirm" or anything like that. All changes to your lineups are automatically saved and entered into the tournament. If you start an entry and do not select any player or cards, that entry will still be entered into the tournament - you would just have a score of 0 for that entry.

You may edit any players/cards in your entries up until the point that the real life NFL game starts. Once the game starts in real life, you will no longer be able to edit that player or add/remove any cards associated with that player. We lock players based on the scheduled start time - not the time that the game actually starts. So if a game is scheduled to start at 1pm ET but kickoff isn't until 1:05pm ET, the player will still be locked starting at 1pm ET.

Once games have started, you can view the scoreboard tab on the Tournament page. Here, you can see how your entries are doing compared with everyone else playing.

At the end of the week, once the last games are completed (usually late Monday night), the scoreboard will be finalized. That will be the official tournament result for the week. The top placing entries will be awarded prizes based on the prize payout structure specified for the tournament.

Prizes are awarded by entry not by user. So if a user is particularly skillful and places 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with their 3 entries, then they will win the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes.

All prizes that are cash are added to your account. This process will usually occur a day or two after the tournament is complete but can take up to a week after the conclusion of the tournament. As your account grows, you can request a cash withdrawal payout whenever your account has $20 or more. If you have less than $20 in your account - all payouts will occur at the end of the NFL season and you will receive your winnings then.

We will send winnings in 2 formats - through Zelle or as a check through the mail. When you withdraw your winnings, we will need to collect some additional information from you for tax purposes such as legal name, date of birth, state of residence, mailing address, Zelle account if applicable, and others. You agree to provide this information as a condition of receiving your winnings payout as per the Terms of Use.

If you have an annual winnings totaling more than $600, SmashUp Sports will send you a tax document for your records. You are responsible for all taxes on winnings.
